USA BOXING CT announces the 2nd Annual Willie Pep Invitational
USA BOXING CT is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Willie Pep Invitational, to be held on October 7th, 2017, inside Ballrooms A & B in the Connecticut Convention Center. The evening will showcase elite amateur boxing for your entertainment. This will be an evening of pure excitement as the Northeast’s elite amateur boxers compete for the Invitational Championship. Thirteen bouts of the highest level of competition is scheduled to be on display.
This event is sponsored in part by the World Boxing Council (WBC), the International Boxing Federation (IBF), Everlast, USA Boxing, and the Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame, which will highlight all the participants and present special awards to the winners of each scheduled bout.

“The Willie Pep Invitational is a labor of love that features amateur boxers competing for special awards made by the WBC (World Boxing Council) and the IBF (International Boxing Federation). This event was created to be different from all other boxing events from around the country. This event is being supported by professional world sanction bodies to support the future of the sport.”
“The Willie Pep Invitational is featuring the best amateur boxers from around the Northeast. The current amateur boxers are helping to raise money for USA Boxing and other boxers coming up behind them. Last year we had tons of support. This year’s event is going to be even bigger.”
A joint press conference, with Rivera Promotion, is scheduled to be held on October 4th, 2017 6:30pm at Red Rock Café 369, Capitol Ave Hartford, CT. All proceeds to benefit USA Boxing CT a 501c3 not for profit. Event includes VIP Gala Dinner, tickets $75. General Admission (w/o dinner) Available $35.
