He is eager to get back into the mix and win a world championship title. There are several possible fights that can be made for him during the upcoming year: current WBA world champion Jason Sosa (20-1-4, 15 KOs); Francisco Vargas (23-0-2, 17 KOs); former 2x division world champion and Cuban gold medalist Yuriokis Gamboa (25-1, 17 KOs) are a few names that have been mentioned.

Vasquez shared his thoughts on being signed to Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions.

“It is a dream come true,” Vasquez stated.

“What a better way to become a legend than to work with one.  I won’t disappoint my idol, Roy Jones Jr.”

Both Roy Jones Jr. and Keith Veltre (Co-Founder & CEO of Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions) are very pleased with the signing of Vasquez.

“Vasquez is a huge pick up for team RJJ,” Jones Jr. stated, Founder of Roy Jones Jr. Promotions.

“Bryan Vasquez adds to our conception of being one of the best boxing promotions companies in the industry.”

“I am extremely happy to have Bryan Vasquez join the RJJ family,” Veltre said.

“Bryan is a top tier fighter and is only a fight or two away from being a World Champion.  We have a good relationship with his management and all of us expect big things from Bryan.  This is a prime example on how RJJ is moving in the direction of becoming a premier promoter.”
