MikkelLespierreMediaMikkel “SlikMikk” LesPierre is a Brooklyn, New York based boxer training out of the world famous Gleason’s Gym. He was born on March 5, 1985 in Trinidad. He then moved with his family to the United States at the age of six. He is currently fighting in the super lightweight division under renowned trainer Don Saxby.

LesPierre’s first amateur bout was in 2006. He had an outstanding amateur career with a record of 49 fights, 36 wins and 13 losses. He was a 2012 Olympic Trials participant, 2011 New York Golden Gloves Semifinalist, 2010 Police Athletic League National Quarterfinalist and 2007 Empire State Games Regional Bronze Medalist. Some of his notable amateur boxing achievements include 2008 New York Metro City Champion and 2007 Empire State Games Champion.

He turned pro in 2012. His first fight was against Miguel Antonio Rodriguez on June 8, 2012 in Woodhaven, New York. LesPierre was impressive on his debut fight, sending Rodriguez on the canvass en route to a knockout victory.
