Current IBF Middleweight World Champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (41-1-1, 36 KOs), from Karaganda, Kazakhstan defeated top-rated contender Kamil Szeremeta (21-1, 5 KOs), from Biaylstok, Poland, this past Friday, Dec. 18, behind closed doors at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL., live on DAZN.

The Golovkin-Szeremeta IBF/IBO Middleweight World Championship fight, and its action-packed undercard bouts, were streamed live, exclusively on DAZN in over 200 countries and territories.

“THE BIG DRAMA SHOW” Golovkin, boxing’s most dominant middleweight of his era, dominated his opponent, while scoring a division-record 21st successful defense of his World Middleweight title (IBF).

On the following night, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (54-2-1 36 KOs) defeated United Kingdom’s Callum Smith (27-1, 19 KOs) for the Briton’s WBA, Ring Magazine World Super-Middleweight titles, and vacant WBC title.

The Alvarez vs Smith clash took place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday December 19, live on the same DAZN 200+ countries and territories worldwide and on TV Azteca in Mexico.

Canelo has once again reached greatness while Golovkin remains at 160lb.

Both men have won WBC straps before.

All roads lead to a third canelo vs ggg fight, possibly slated for CINCO DE MAYO 2021.
