Friday, June 29, 2018, it’s the return of Hasim Rahman, Jr. The young heavyweight prospect, alongside his (brother) Sharif Rahman (2-0, 2 KOs), (uncle) Mushin “The Spartan” Cason (1-0), and (cousin) Lorenzo “Truck” Simpson headline a fight card that is sure to have many fans, in attendance, cheering on their hometown fighters.

The son of former Lineal, WBC, IBO, and IBF Heavyweight Champion Hasim Rahman, Rahman Jr. understands the importance of winning his next fight.

“I’ve been training hard, receiving, and taking all my blessings. This fight is very important to me. It’s another step towards achieving my ultimate goal in becoming a world champion.”

Rahman, Jr. (4-0, 3 KOs), with his last fight being cancelled due to the opponent refusing to fight him on fight night, is returning back to the ring after a long training camp away from home.

“I decided to take my training camp to Las Vegas. I have a good team out here. I’ve been working with a working with a new strength and conditioning coach.”

Nicknamed “Gold Blooded”, Rahman Jr. is excited at the opportunity to fight on the same card with his family, as well as fellow stablemate Tyrieshia “Lady Tiger” Douglas (13-1, 6 KOs) from Upton Boxing Gym/Recreational Center.

“Before I turned professional, I didn’t know as much as I know now. Now knowing what it takes to be at the top of the echelon of the sport, it’s a real big eye opener and I know that I have a long road ahead of me. The good thing about me is that I have a lot of boxing in my background.”
