BROOKLYN, NY (July 24, 2020):
The entire boxing community, along with all social media applications (twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.), have raised their eyebrows in the fact that two icons of the sport, are coming together, to face one another, in what will has been billed as the “FRONTLINE BATTLE”
“Iron” Mike Tyson, the man, the myth, the legend, will be taking on the great, pound-4-pound, “Baddest Man” around Roy Jones Jr. in an eight-round exhibition bout, scheduled for September 12, live on ppv, at the Dignity Health Sports Park, the home of five-time MLS Cup champions LA Galaxy.
The final details have not been released behind this iconic fight, but for a man of Keith Veltre’s stature, he’s right, dab center, in the mix of it all.
Veltre, the extremely successful entrepreneur and businessman, who has worked with the music industry, and fully understands the real estate market, has brokered deals with various musical icons, namely the late, great Michael Jackson.
Veltre is now at the forefront of bringing two titans, two of the most notable names in the history of sport, to fight in an exhibition bout.
For both men, their accolades of what they’ve accomplished and achieved in the sport of boxing, speaks volumes.
For this exhibition bout, Veltre shares that this will not be a walk in the park for either fighter.
“This will not be a paddy-cake type of fight,” Veltre said.
“Both men are training hard and coming to fight. There may be a difference in gloves, but I don’t expect for either fighter to have on headgear. I can tell to you that both men are being paid amicable and this will be a 50/50 split both men, with other proceeds being giving to charity.”
“Roy is taking this fight serious; in watching Tyson’s videos and speaking with his people, he’s also taking this serious.”
“This has excited the casual boxing fans along with the core fans of boxing. My phone has been ringing off the hook. Mainstream media appears to be excited after this fight has been announced. This will be an entertaining event and successful for everyone.”
“With having the backing and support of the ever growing social media application Triller, along with other sponsors, and partnerships, this will be a huge event, with more to come. This will not be the last fight for either man. This will be a series to bring all the legends back to fight, on an exhibition platform.”
Veltre, during this podcast appearance/interview, highlights the great work that UFC (Dana White) and Mayweather Promotions put together when both Floyd Mayweather fought Conor McGregor.
Veltre also acknowledges the great work that Eddie Hearn, of Matchroom Boxing, has done with DAZN.
Veltre fully recognizes and understands that during these times of COVID-19, there remains an obligation for promoters and the “Powers – That –Be” to put together entertaining events for all to enjoy.
Listen close to all the details the Veltre can only share at this point, as there is so much more to come from this huge, iconic, sports changing event.
